I really appreciated the convenient location right across from the Majestic Theatre. It made getting to the shows super easy. The atmosphere felt welcoming. I loved the historical charm of the hotel. The bar area had a nice vibe, and the Market on Houston restaurant offered delicious meals. However, there were several frustrating issues. The valet parking cost a staggering $32 per day, which feels excessive compared to nearby garages. My room had a few cleanliness problems, including hair in the bathtub, which was disappointing. The shower didn't drain properly, which made showering uncomfortable. One of the elevators was broken during my stay, creating long waits and confusion. Late housekeeping service also added to the inconvenience. I had to ask multiple times for clean towels. While the staff at the bar was friendly, I noted inconsistent hours, which made it hard to plan for drinks. There’s definitely potential here, but several aspects need attention to enhance the stay experience.

The nearby eateries were on point! I loved checking out Iron Cactus for killer margaritas after hours of exploring. Plus, the staff were super friendly, remembering my name and showering us with hospitality. The hotel has a lovely historical vibe that really stood out.
Had a bit of a rough patch with the bed feeling like a rock. And with the elevators tied up for maintenance, we had to take the stairs—talk about a workout! Not exactly how I imagined my stay going.
